Description

Over the past five or six years my colleagues and I have been developing a new business model for a project taking place in Cambridge, called the Cambridge Food Hub. The business model we have developed is based upon a new concept in the way that food supply chains are structured and managed, that we have called the ‘Local Food Ecosystem’. The Local Food Ecosystem is an entire food system, comprising producers, processors, retailers and many other food practitioners.

This book hopes to explain what has gone so wrong with our food system and offer some new and sustainable ways in which we can start to fix it.
